An EAF electrode (electric arc furnace electrode) is also called a graphite electrode. They are a special type of material that can withstand high temperatures. They have a large cylindrical shape and are made from raw materials such as petroleum coke and needle coke, processed through a series of steps including calcination, shaping, baking, impregnation, graphitization, and precision processing. The reason why graphite is used as electrodes in steelmaking and metallurgy is mainly due to its unique high conductivity and high-temperature resistance properties, which can withstand working temperatures of up to over 2000°C.
AGRM is a graphite electrode manufacturer from China, offering various grades of graphite electrodes, including regular power graphite electrodes (RP), high power graphite electrodes (HP), ultra-high power (UHP) graphite electrodes, and SHP graphite electrodes. Whether it’s a new project or an expansion project, there are applicable products. AGRM has strong customization capabilities for graphite products and can be regarded as a graphite expert in the industry. Our products are exported overseas and are highly praised. With the most reasonable prices and the most perfect services, we ensure that every customer has a satisfactory shopping experience.

Application
Electric Arc Furnace Steelmaking: The main use of graphite electrodes is as electric arc furnace electrodes, accounting for 70%–80% of total graphite electrode consumption. They use the heat generated by the arc between the electrode and the furnace charge to melt scrap steel.
Submerged Arc Furnace Smelting: The lower end of the electrode in a submerged arc furnace is usually buried in the furnace charge. It uses the heat generated by the arc and the resistance of the furnace charge to produce materials such as industrial silicon, yellow phosphorus, and ferroalloys.
Resistance Furnace: Embedded in the furnace wall as a conductor, it is used in graphitization furnaces, glass melting furnaces, and silicon carbide electric furnaces. It is not continuously consumed.

Customization Options
In addition to the four standard specifications of graphite electrodes we offer, AGRM can also customize designs and processing according to customer drawings. The customizable options include the following:

The Production Capacity of AGRM
Advantage One: Controlled selection of raw materials
Firstly, we have a stable raw material supplier. Based on this, we have established and implemented strict screening and management mechanisms. We strictly control every step, strictly monitor raw material procurement and impurity control, and have also established a complete batch tracking management system. From the raw material entering the factory to the finished product being released, all can be traced.
Advantage Two: Advanced production technology
We implement standardized process parameters at each critical stage, including temperature curves, pressure control, and cycle management, to minimize performance fluctuations. All of these are based on the most advanced processes and equipment.
Advantage Three: Quality Inspection System
AGRM has established a strict quality inspection system. Before each batch of graphite electrode products leaves the factory, multidimensional quality tests are carried out. The test items include, but are not limited to, resistivity testing, volume density testing, bending strength testing, size inspection, and surface and internal defect screening.
It is worth mentioning that we can provide the rolling machine test report (MTR) as a formal purchase document, which is convenient for your project acceptance, quality filing, and technical archiving.

FAQs
Question 1: How long is the typical lifespan of your electrodes?
Answer: The service life varies depending on different application environments, and there is no exact numerical value. However, we can guarantee that our graphite electrodes have relatively stable oxidation resistance and impact resistance under normal working conditions. Generally speaking, their service life is approximately 15% to 20% longer than that of ordinary electrodes.
Q2: Can your graphite electrodes be customized?
Answer: Yes. We not only offer four standard-sized graphite electrodes but also accept customized orders for non-standard sizes, including diameter, length, cross-sectional design, thread specifications, etc. We can also provide accompanying electrode connectors, sealing rings, conductive greases, and other accessories.
Q3: Will the electrodes break or wear out during transportation?
Answer: During the transportation process, we will equip each electrode with shock-absorbing padding and fixation measures. If necessary, wooden supports can be chosen for fixing the container or the vehicle floor, and steel straps will be used for reinforcement to prevent shaking.
Q4: How long will it take for the order to be shipped after placing the order?
Answer: The inventory of standard-sized products is relatively sufficient, and they can usually be dispatched within 2 to 3 weeks. For customized sizes, the delivery time needs to be confirmed specifically. We will keep the customer updated on the order status at all times.
Q5: What are your advantages?
Answer: Our main advantages lie in the stability of product quality, customization capabilities, and service. We have always placed great importance on the selection of raw materials and the control of the production process. Our response speed for after-sales services is also very fast.
Q6: Can you handle orders for large-scale projects?
Answer: Yes, we can accept bulk orders. We will have dedicated technical and logistics coordinators who will be responsible for the transportation of the goods and on-site coordination.
