Category: RP
Diameter Range: 150-700mm
Permissible Current Load: 3-42kA
Regular power graphite electrodes are typically produced from raw materials such as petroleum coke and pitch coke through processes like crushing, blending, shaping, and graphitization. They serve as common conductive materials in the steelmaking and casting industries, offering favorable conductivity and chemical stability. These electrodes are commonly employed in standard arc furnaces and refining furnaces.
—RP Graphite Electrode Uses
Suitable for small-scale or low-demand arc furnaces.
- Widely used in the industrial silicon smelting industry for producing organic silicon, obtaining high-purity semiconductor materials, and alloying special-purpose alloys.
- Used for small-scale steelmaking operations, such as small steel plants.
- Appropriate for applications with low power input and less extreme working conditions.
AGRM is an industry-leading graphite electrode supplier that integrates production, sales, and export. Our products boast excellent conductivity and exhibit outstanding performance, particularly under stringent smelting conditions. Additionally, we manufacture HP graphite electrodes, UHP graphite electrodes, and SHP graphite electrodes.

—Highlights Of AGRM RP Graphite Electrode
Lower per-ton steel consumption: By increasing the content of needle-like petroleum coke in the raw materials, optimizing the formulation, and advancing process refinement management, among other measures, we further help customers reduce per-ton steel consumption. Through continuous tracking and observation of multiple customers, our products have shown a continuous decrease in per-ton steel consumption in EAF furnaces, with a maximum reduction of approximately 30%.

Good surface finish: Through mechanical processing methods, the electrode surface is ground to remove uneven parts, ensuring high quality.
Excellent thermal shock resistance, conductivity, and thermal conductivity.
Good wear resistance and strong lubrication: The surface can undergo anti-oxidation treatment, resulting in a long service life.
Low ash content: The ash content is not more than 0.3%.
—RP Graphite Electrode Instructions
- The electrodes should be stored in a clean, dry place, and protected from vibration and impact. They should be dried before use.
- When placing the joints, clean the holes with compressed air, then carefully screw in the joints without damaging the threads.
- When connecting the electrodes, clean the cross-section of both electrodes with compressed air when they are 20-30mm apart.
- When using a wrench to connect the electrodes, they should be tightened completely to the specified position, ensuring that the gap between the two electrodes is not more than 0.05mm.
- To avoid electrode breakage, avoid hitting insulation blocks. Place large blocks at the bottom and small blocks at the top.
- Avoid mixing electrodes and nipples from other brands: The thermal expansion coefficient of graphite electrode nipples is designed to be smaller than that of the electrode itself, preventing the loosening of the joint due to thermal expansion even at high temperatures. The thermal expansion coefficients of graphite electrode bodies and nipples may vary among different manufacturers. Mixing electrodes or nipples from other brands may result in the thermal expansion coefficient of the nipples being greater than that of the electrode, leading to relaxation at high temperatures.
