Graphite blocks are block-shaped graphite products made from natural or synthetic graphite as raw materials. They are multifunctional materials with high bulk density, low electrical resistivity, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and good electrical conductivity. Not only do they play an important role in industry due to their unique physical and chemical properties, but they are also widely used in various manufacturing fields because of their machinability. The production process of graphite blocks is roughly similar to that of graphite electrodes, but they are not by-products of graphite electrodes.
Graphite Block Classification

- Fine-particle graphite block
Suitable for precision applications requiring high electrical and thermal conductivity.

- Medium-coarse particle graphite block
Offering a balance between cost and performance, it is widely used.

- Coarse-particle graphite block
Used for specific industrial applications, such as fillers or refractory materials.
Manufacturing Process of Graphite Blocks

Extrusion
Graphite powder is placed into an extruder and formed by being pressed through a die of a specific shape under high pressure.

Compression-molded
Graphite powder is placed in a metal mold, then a press is used to apply pressure to form the powder into the desired shape within the mold. This method is suitable for producing parts with complex shapes and precise dimensions.

Isostatic pressed
Isostatic pressing is a more advanced method that uses rubber or plastic molds to densify the graphite powder by applying high pressure uniformly in all directions (several tens to hundreds of megapascals).

Vibration
During the vibration-forming process, graphite powder is filled into a rubber mold and densified through high-frequency electromagnetic vibration. This method helps improve the flowability of the powder and reduce voids, thereby achieving higher product density.
