The graphite seal ring is a mechanical sealing component. Its high strength, low friction, high temperature, pressure resistance, and self-lubrication make it ideal for dynamic and static sealing ring materials. It is made of high-purity or impregnated resin/metallic graphite for excellent performance.
The graphite sealing ring is divided into static sealing ring and dynamic sealing ring, the static sealing ring is installed on the fixed part, and the dynamic sealing ring is installed on the rotating shaft. These seals are commonly used in applications such as pumps, compressors, and turbines to form sealed interfaces that prevent liquid or gas leaks. The size of graphite rings may vary depending on the specific application, but their standard size is usually a few millimeters to a few centimeters in diameter.
Graphite rings are widely used in various fields, AGRM as a professional supplier of graphite products, will recommend and provide the most suitable grades for different fields. In addition, we have different surface treatments to meet special requirements. You are welcome to share your exact needs with our team.

Graphite Static Seal Ring
What is the static seal?
Static seals are located between two immovable parts. Its task is to prevent material transfer. When using static seals, the surfaces to be sealed are always in contact. Therefore, the leakage rate is relatively low.
Static seals require the minimum necessary clamping force and must not exceed the maximum allowable pressure, and these aspects vary depending on the type of seal, material, and manufacturer. In addition, since there is no friction in dynamic seals, the pressure between the sealing material and the part to be sealed can be higher.
- High-temperature resistance.
- Corrosion resistance.
- Effectively prevent leakage of liquids and gases.
- High compressive strength.
- Low friction coefficient.
Graphite Dynamic Seal Ring
What is the dynamic seal?
Dynamic seals are named for the movement in which they operate. Its purpose is to seal two parts in relative motion, thereby preventing or limiting the exchange of substances to acceptable levels.
Sealing gaps are usually unavoidable but can be exploited. For example, a lubricant can be introduced into it during operation. In a dynamic seal, the components to be sealed can be in contact with each other, just as in a static seal.
- Good self-lubricity.
- Strong adaptability.
- Abrasion resistance.
- Stability.
- Temperature adaptability.
Impregnated Carbon-Graphite Ring
Carbon and graphite materials are inherently porous after material processing. These materials are usually impregnated with resins or metals to increase strength, improve thermal conductivity, reduce resistivity, reduce porosity, or imbue impermeability. These benefits can lead to secondary benefits, for example, impregnation with antimony can reduce porosity and thus reduce blister formation, especially in light hydrocarbon and hot oil applications.
- Resin-impregnated carbon graphite: increases strength and wear resistance, and reduces material porosity.
- Metal-impregnated carbon graphite: increased density, high-temperature resistance.
